Headlamp cover protection

Headlamp cover protection
I bought a kit and upon checking the sizes out I see that these don't cover the entire flatish portion of the headlamp. They seem to leave a bit more than a 1/8" maybe 3/16" gap around the diameter.
I wasn't expecting that.
Are they all like that or is it the brand I chose LAMIN-X?
