Default Headlight bulb replacement help STR

Have a 03 STR left bulb was intermittant and then finally went out. So I took forum advice bought two new bulbs so as not to have uneven lighting plus I didn't want to have to take the bumper off again. So first things first I swap left bulb. Seemed very straightforward. Finished it and turned the lights on to test. It didn't come on but right side still worked. Went ahead and swapped right bulb and now neither works. Used gloves while replacing bulbs but never touched glass anyway. Any suggestions? Is there some little detail I might have missed. I can see it being the ballast on the left but whats the odds that the right would go out like that? I'm going to test the old bulb on the right to see if I might have just gotten bad bulbs?

Try that and maybe swap the ballast also maybe you got hit with 2 things out. Then you can sort out what exactly you have thats good and what is bad.

Never mind I'm an idiot didn't reconnect the wire to the light connector. Do have what appears to be a bad ballast on the left side though.

That sucks sorry to hear that. Does that mean you bought the headlights for nothing then? At least you got it figured out now.

It was the ballast. Oh well wasn't the light bulbs but at least I won't have to worry about it again any time soon.
