Headlight self-leveling quits
Just had some nicks and scratches on the front of my STR professionally fixed, and I know the bumper had to be removed. Car looked so gorgeous when i picked it up that I never thought to check the headlights.
At home, next time I started it up, I noticed the headlights were not going through the usual self-levelling cycle. The lights themselves are OK, and seem to be at the same height as before.
Is there a separate connection for the adjustment motors that was not made during reassembly, or have I got some other problem?

Any ideas, anyone? Car is a 2005 STR.
The headlights were removed by the body shop, then replaced after painting. Now, no self-leveling at startup.
Does self-leveling have to be re-programmed after the lights are disconnected and then re-connected?
Brutal, are you there?

No you don't have to reprogram after removing the headlights. I removed my HID lights and bumper without any problems. Most likely they forgot to connect something or you got a blown fuse. You would have to reprogram if the headlights were replaced with new ones.
My car is about 6 months old and for the first couple weeks they would cycle like upon start up go down then up, they don't do that anymore, they just turn on straight. Any suggestions why? Hadn't had any work done to them, But batttery was bad, i replaced it but self level cycle doesn't work when i start the car still.
I know they are not supposed to require reprogramming for that but my 2005 STR has had to have the headlights reprogrammed by the dealer twice so far.
One time because of a light replacement another time just because?? Never did understand why the second time it was required but it did fix the headlights.
