Hi, I replaced the pump which fixed the issue. Just recently, they packed up again so I ordered another pump having checked the fuses, relays and wiring again. The 'new' pump didn't work at all ( good old ebay scrappers with their ' fully tested' second hand parts eh?).

I found that you can get to the female pins on the loom wiring connector by removing the white plastic plug, then you can more easily abraid them and Voila! working again.

They are pointless inventions, only useful to wash off fresh mud or dust, but as an MOT requirement for cars with HiDs they have to work.
