Hi,
I m in the middle of repairing my 05 STR Sunroof, purchase clips kits of eBay and yes they fit from the 2001-2002 ford parts.

Put everything back until I found my motor only go backwards.
If I press the contro forward it does nothing.

Is the motor turn both clockwise and anti clockwise?

Is there a control module or (that's the black parts beside the motor)

Appreciate any help. Thanks

 

The motor definatly turns forward and reverse .
Did it work both ways before you pulled it apart ?
If so I would go back and check the connectors on first the switch
And failing that on the motor , the modual is the black box attached to the motor .
Could be a faulty switch , or internal relay . Or broken wire . May also require a hard reboot .

 

hmmm.. I haven't open the sunroof for maybe 4 or 5 years...but I do remember it being able to close and open. (didn't open or close it since the last time I open it. I broke the tab.)

so this time I m trying to fix the track and also replacing saggy sunroof headliner.

and since I don't know how else to test the motor and the module aside from playing with it while the sunroof assembly is down. I order a use motor of ebay.. and see what's going on.
