Unhappy Sunroof Headliner Panel Reinstall

I'm just a bit new to my Jaguar, so please bear with me.

When I bought my '97 XJ6 VDP, the interior sunroof panel had been removed because the previous owner had problems with it.
I reconditioned the interior panel but now cannot figure how to get it back under the sunroof.
I think all the clips are present but can't find any literature to point me in the right direction.
Is there anyone that can give me a short tutorial?

Make sure the roof is clean, then put the inner panel on the roof behind the sliding roof.
Check that the small inner panel is attached to the mechanism each side, if it is it will slide back and forth with the sliding roof when the mechanism is operated.
Open the sliding roof upwards. You can now slide the inner panel in from the back.
Carefully hold the panel up and gently slide it forward to engage the clips at the front onto the short rods which protude from each side. This does not take much force.
It might pay to check that the clips at the front are not bent back before installing the panel.

Thanks rads,
As soon as my wife brings it back from 'Vegas, from it's maiden voyage, I will follow your instructions, precisely.

Well, the sunroof is a bust...literally.
I tried the option posted by rads and found that it wouldn't raise high enough to allow the panel underneath of it.
On further inspection, I found that a piece of control latch on either side was broken and laying up there.
It is probably cost prohibitive, at this point, to pursue the repairs.
