Default heating levels

It feels like my heat blows cold until I increase the heating level to high. At that point it works great. Is there something I can adjust to fix this?

Are you saying you have to increase the temperature setting until HI is displayed? That switches the system from automatic to manual, and bypasses some of the sensors. It's great for troubleshooting.

Start with the either of the tests in post #2 to make sure your DCCV is behaving. Then proceed to post #3 to test the automatic control portion.

First things first. Is the coolant in your coolant expansion tank at the proper "full" level first thing in the morning prior to starting the engine?
