i have S-type 2003 with DSC not Available light on. i have taken to mechanic and checked it, they said because of "break paddle travel sensor" so, i changed it.
The light is gone but when i start driving for a while after light come again. i turn off and on the engine light gone.
i bought it back to dealer and checked it again, i found the new fault "vacuum pressure". So i have no idea what i need to next....

Could anyone help me out about this problem??, thank you very much.

 

buy your self an elm327 scan tool about $25 and learn how to check your fuel trims to see if it has a vacuum leak . and go from there . I'm guessing/hoping you are using a jaguar specific dealer ?

 

Yes. i went to Jaguar dealer to check the DSC

 

could be the vacuum sensor on the brake booster faulty,
or broken/leaking booster diaphragm ,
or the brass vacuum connector oring at the manifold for the brake booster vac pipe .
also there is an oring in the swivel joint half way along the booster vac pipe
give those things a close look .

 

Got to have a code or we are in the dark!
