Cute.

I wish more owners knew about my superior replacement thingy. I fabricate them myself so it's definitely a "hands-on" process from beginning to end. The one installing my thingy even gets to massage and press it in!

Unlike some other parts (coolant tank)that Jag never improved on. Jag must have done something with the hood liners. I had mine replaced under warranty due to shrinkage and falling apart. The new one now has been on much longer than the original and still looks as good today as the day it was installed.
Thank you Jag.
BTW these aftermarket liners look very nice and a real good price as well.

I second that. My replacement under warranty still looks new. BUT if I did it now. I would definitely use the aftermarket one. It's just that much better!

I'll go the complete opposite direction...What consequences if any are there if you remove the liner? Louder engine and S/C for us STRs?

If you remove the liner you'll hear the engine more. The underhood would get dirty and you would need to keep after it to clean it. The paint varies from car make to car make, some hoods are affected by the heat while others aren't.

However, the engineers put it there for a reason, and it's been there on many car brands for decades. My version is superior to stock.
