Default How to connect remote starter switch

I have to do a leak down test on my 03 S Type with the V8 not supercharged. Since I am a one man show my idea is to get a remote starter switch so I can find TDC on each cylinder.

Can someone give me a quick guide to connecting the remote starter wires?

A remote starter switch will not allow you to accuratly find TDC. Turn the engine over by hand instead.

If you are turning the engine by means of the harmonic balancer centre bolt, first remove the spark plugs and rotate the crankshaft in a clockwise direction when standing in front of the vehicle. Do not rotate the crankshaft in an anti-clock direction or damage to the main and connecting rod bearings may result.

Refer to the JTIS Workshop Manual for additional details.
