You make it tough!!
A random post with a random picture? Not enough information to help?

What car? What year? What is it doing? Does not "look" loose in the picture. Have you searched the forum for others with the same problem and possible answers?

To take a "stab" - looks like a 2000 - 2002 S Type vehicle - Prodigy215 - See the indents in the metal piece - they need to catch the black plastic piece - take vise grips and make the gap smaller, press the black plastic piece with the parking release button back into the metal shaft and re-install the parking brake handle and tighten...

I realize this is an old thread but Prodigy do you still have the picture you uploaded so that I can see the parts that Abonano was referencing.

I am experiencing the same problem with a 2002 Jaguar S-Type 4.0.

Have you ever looked at e-bay and did a search for jaguar "year number" s-type "part name" ? I have replaced a LOT of stuff on my jag by doing that. You get great pictures and references .
