How I got more HP - Before/After Pictures ...
I called Jag USA last week. They put me in touch with their Archive dept.
I left a message with my question about STR production.
They are only open 2-3 days a week, I never thought they would bother getting back to me.
Friday morning a nice guy named Mike returned my call,I was really surprised and blown away with this type of customer service.
He said most of the numbers will be for the following year since Jag does its production in the late part of the year preceding the actual sticker model year.
01 for the 02 MY 80
02 for the 03 MY 3925
03 for the 04 MY 1168
04 for the 05 MY 1315
05 for the 06 MY 667
06 for the 07 MY 698
07 for the 08 MY 190
Total 8043.
He did a quick scan and said by his estimate 50% looked like they went to the US.
With 03 numbers quite high it answers why we have so many members with the 03 car.Looks like 02 and 08 are VERY rare. Not even sure if 02 was available in the US.
Hope you enjoy.
Greg.

I don't think any cars were designated as 2004 models over here. At least I've never seen one referenced that was. That has nothing to do with the actual date of manufacture though.
Over here all cars are in effect designated with the year (*). That means when a change is made another way is found to market it ("facelift", "new shape", "Mark 2", or whatever).
(*) in effect, of first registration (which - broadly - occurs when it's sold)
