How Many STR's?

There was a post a while back on how many STR's were driving around out there, the confirmed number from Jaguar is 1,705 for the US (all years).

Really? Thats way more than I thought... last year I thought we agreed on like right around 1000.. How did you get the actual number?

I was curious about it when the original post went up so I wrote Jaguar online through the official website, customer service brochure/literature request.
