I love B!tches and H0es too.

See Joyce you sassy but sexy thing you
Im talking about swapping the Engine and the transmission with one of Chevrolet's engines, preferably the small block. Its rated as having one of the top ten engines ever made you follow me you sex kitten, or COUGAR !raar!.

The engine in the S type is bigger then it needs to be waste of space especially for my 230hp. Two small blocks can fit where the s type engine is. Two small Block engines Bridged = 500 hp. The Transmission will need to be upgraded as well.

We dump Jaguars, engine and transmission and put in something that doesn't require so many useless poor excuses of electronics or technology we would have cars that's not a complete pain in the ***, honestly if their is something wrong with my car what ever it is IT IS EITHER MY ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION OR THERE BECAUSE IT OPERATES OFF THE ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION.

Engine swap would make for a better car anybody feel me?

You will not get 2 small block chevys and their required cooling capability under the hood of a S-type. I don't even have to get out a tape measure and open the hood to figure that out.

Is it possible and if so who the hell on gods green earth is going to just do it

If you want a Chevy just buy one. Lot available for less than a Jag.

Never a fan of engine swaps. Typically cost more than fixing the original. And if the original isn't fast enough, buy a different car.

There's a lot of XJ swaps, but I've never seen a S-Type swap.

Here's a company that makes conversion kits. Talking to them could be a start.

JAQUAR V-8 CONVERSIONS

I got an idea, stick in a 427 - 500+ hp corvette Z06 engine, and you won't need two smallblocks. I got one for ya but it's still in it's plastic box with a seat or 2 stuck on behind. Cost you about 40k negotiable.
Let me know, *shipping not included.

To many electronics getting in the way so swap the motor? That's like buying an m5 and swapping the motor.

The whole reason for buying a 'luxury' car is for all the extras. I get your point for simplicity but buy the time you get the more simple motor and tranny in there you could have bought 2 STR's and been plenty quick.

Yah think? OMG what a nightmare. Cars are more than fussy enough with their stock engines these days. This would be a marriage that never gets consummated. Screwed yes ...

That's what I was thinking....

Now to the OP..... Do an engine swap search on this site... You will find an extensive thread from a user that is not just spouting BS but actually doing it... VERY COMPLICATED and more $$ than just fixing things.......

Oh...and to everyone else.... This is going to be FUN! This place has been quiet for some time now......LOL

This one of the funniest threads (bizarre funny) in a long time.

I've got a couple of SBCs that I could donate to the project if you've got the car. Let's see it.
