I don't know where to start...
Jaguar S-type SE 2005.
Doesn't get a lot of use, say approx 30 miles a month.
All seemed well until yesterday - after about 3 miles I noticed these:-
ABS Fault / DCS not available and Cruise Control not available.
Also, the amber Engine Malfunction lamp is constantly on.
My scanner brings up codes P0306, P1316 and P1111, apparently pointing to a misfire problem with cylinder 6.
I disconnected the battery and did an overnight charge, but I'm still seeing the same faults.
I have never seen these indications before, and I'm confused as to why an apparent engine fault should show up at the same time as a brake fault ?
The car drives as normal.
Could I have some guidance please ?

Or get a good CTEK charger... My car gets very little use as well and I used to get the same weird problems until I got the charger and now I plug the car in when I'm not using it for extended periods.
As the guys have said, this sounds like a classic case of the battery reaching the end of it's service life.
Erase the codes and see if they return. Disconnecting the battery will do nothing in this respect.
