on my 2004 4.2
well finally sorted out my restricted Performance issue
After spending 5 thousand dollars nz
Now for the last two problems
1
Ignition lock is stuffed
You can put key in and start and drive no problem
But my issue is if Ignition is off and you insert key instrument cluster will light up like it on acc2
you can turn key left and right and get acc1 and acc2
so makes it in possible to program my new key remotes
So have to unlock and lock car by door
then you get the chime but even when you put key in Ignition within 5 seconds the alarm will still go off
Dam embarrassing especially in a parking lot

Would anyone please be able to help with these questions

1 are all the s type ignition locks from 1999 to 2007
interchangeable
I have found 1 wrecked s type which is a 1999
Other than that I have to import one which is not cheap
$300.00 just for shipping alone i have be quoted on ebay

Next question has anyone ever managed to disable the factory alarm
as vehicle was fitted with a new alarm with GPS and cameras which if alarm goes off you are notified by tex and you log in and can view all around car

If so would they please be kind enough to let me know how even by private message

remotes are programmed with scan tool only, the procedure for the x350 does not work on x202.

thinkdiag/launch can do it

 

hi remotes for the x200 are done though ignition lock
or can also be done via key programmer which luckily I have but still need a working ignition lock

 

million dollars paid to anyone who can put a remote in an x202 without a scan tool

 

how about a dollar for trying waaaaaaaaaay too many times. That is why i got sdd to start with. Even my snap on modis was a no go
