Hey all, did the S-Type ever come out with the indicator stalk on the right hand side? In the land of Oz all our cars have the stalk on the right, as we drive on the left. Our old XJ-S had the blinker stalk on the right as well. But having it on the left in the S-Type I hit the wipers all the time!

 

NOPE.

You get used to it.

Just make sure you got good SOFT wiper refills in ALL the time, so the front screen survives until the brain retrains itself.

Some clown somewhere reckons it takes 7 times for the brain to retrain, HAHAHAHA.

I reckon I am at about 700 for the Left foot braking, Minimal R foot makes it a requirement for me, and I still stuff it up after 22 years of that loss.

Just think the NEW Commodores and Falcons will be imports, so who wants to bet on the placement of those stalks, NOT me.

 

I have the same problem but I don't have the chance to get used to it. The S-Type is my wife's car and has the stalk on the left but my own car is an old MX5 which, being a Japanese car, has it on the right.
I've lost count of the number of times I've sprayed the screen instead of flashing my headlights.

 

I've got a Ford Territory and the S-Type is dads car. His old XJ-S had the indicator stalk on the right.
