Smile Hedalight Fault N/S X Type

Hi I am new to the forum and have a problem with the NS headlights. I have an X Type Jaguar SE Sport 2005. The lights were working fine until yesterday then the lights started on the NS started to play up. When switched on the indicator would illuminate and the lights on the NS were very dim. When the indicator was turned on the lights started to flicker and the indicator flashed very quickly as though the bulb was blown. I have looked at the bulbs and all are okay - I even swapped them over with the OS. The symptoms looked to point to a poor connection possibly earth so I checked this but nothing. I cannot understand why this has suddenly happened unless the light cluster itself is faulty? Is it the light unit as it looks like the unit is a complete unit that just plugs in so assuming that a component within the unit failed? Help me please someone.
Kind Regards Mosers63
