I've been told by the MOT my right front shock has failed. I'm now looking for some new ones (or 2nd hand), but am having trouble identifying the correct part. I've removed the wheel and read off part number 6R83-18045-DB. When I google this however, I find nothing. I do come across lots of other numbers, and I think XR851785 is the correct one, but am still having the following questions:
- Is 6R83-18045-DB really a SPORT version front shock?
- So, does 6R83-18045-DB correspond to XR851785 then?
- Any advice where you can get these parts online easily?

Be careful when you buy shocks. There are two types pre 2002 and post. Also check to see if you have adaptive suspension or not

when your car is post 2002 you will need this type with out adaptive.

If you want to use the original equipment then you have to fit bilstein B4 but they are about twice the price.

I used the sachs on mine and I found that they are very nice a bit hard but I bought the sports versions.
