Default jaguar "S Type" 2006 2.7D

Hello everyone,

I need some advise and assistance.

I own a 2006 "S Type" 2.7 D Twin turbo "R" type Jaguar sedan.

The electronic Park brake light keeps coming on.
I have taken it to the mechanics 5 times now to solve the issue and the last time he uploaded a new program into to computer at a cost of $5000

The issue is still there, but now when I put the cruise control on,and if the Electronic park warning light comes on, it cut the cruise control off?

I am at a loss as to who in Perth WA can solve this issue for me, with out charging me a fortune and actually knows, what he is doing

Any suggestions, would be great, thank you

5,000 to upload some software? OUCH!

Did you have anyone check the codes first? If so, what codes did you get? Park brake modules/motor assemblies have been known to fail on these cars, specially if you've had any work done on rear suspension and the cables are misrouted. There is also a calibration procedure to follow, which the TSB is located on this forum.

Dear Sir,
thank you for the reply
Yes, I had all the rear section replaced 2 months ago.
as for codes, I do not know about that side of it.
I will go back to mechanic and ask that question.
once again, thank you for your assistance

It can't be an "R" as then it would be 4.2 SC, not a diesel.

You already posted that here. Repeating it it unhelpful but you could try a sub-forum or the like for the region you mention.

It is quite likely no such person exists.

A dead or dying battery will create the conditions you mention. I presume the $5000 is a misprint and you meant $50.
