Hi there, im new to the forum and im currently trying to fix my uncle's handbrake on his 2007 s type. Ive disconnected the battery as ive been advised by the jaguar dealers and now im in a sticky situation. The boot release is electrical and of course there is no power, and even worse the back seat releases are in the boot itself! Is there a manual release or somewhere to override it?! Im a experience young mechanic and im not overall familiar with his stype and that said i though the back seat fold release was on the parcel shelf or something! What should i do?

Also ive heard the manual lock key hole was removed from the number plate area in around 2006, is this true? I think im screwed!
