Default Jaguar S type Multiple faults need help please.

Hey guys hopefully someone has had this problem and can help me. I have a 2001 Jaguar s type v6 and have had this problem with my car for over a year now. i finally took the car to a shop with a Jagtool and got some codes that helped me somewhat. there are 3 issues with my car which i need help with fixing.

Issues:

1. Gear box Fault- P1788 - pressure control solenoid 2: open
i've had this problem for about 2 years it hasn't worsened or gotten better. My car seems to go from 1st gear fine 2nd gear fine, than 3rd gear fine but slips to 4th than jumps back to 3rd again and drives perfect after. and this doesn't happen every time happens 50-60% of the time.
2- Fuel computer data error- i replaced the fuel injectors, spark plugs, Water Temperature Sensor (because my dad broke it) and cables and than this error showed up. could not find a code for it with my reader.
3- Windshield wipers not working either.

i have replaced the spring in the transmission about 3 years ago and everything was fine. i am a DIY'er and would like to know if these issues can be fixed. if any other info was missed please let me know and ill will gladly elaborate or add anything i missed. Thanks

Hey there, sorry I can't help myself but a bump of this thread may help it to get the attention it deserves and the help you need.

Good luck

It's likely that the trans. solenoid is beat/stuck. Good thing your a DIY'er. Drop the pan and remove solenoids for testing and/or refurbish. Perform a hard-reset of the ECU to clear fuel data error.

+1 on item #1

Item #2, ahem "we" get that exact phrase when the wifey comes home and the "talking gas gauge" asks if I mind running the vehicle up for some fuel. In other words, Joyce just about ran the car out of gas and the fuel sensor tosses that message up in the driver control. Maybe fuel filter or pump going south on you.

Item #3, fuses, relays, power to the wiper motor, the usual checks should resolve the issue.
