Default Jaguar s type r is making popping noises?

I have a 2006 jaguar s type r 100,000 miles. my jag makes popping noise when accelerating and deceleration/stopping. noise seems to be comming from the differential and sometime I hear it close to the catalytic converters. when I change gears from reverse to drive it makes the popping noise?. anybody have any suggestions on what it can be.

Have a look at fuel trims for clues (use an elm327 or the like). I'm a little surprised if there are no codes!

Drive OK?

Not heard of any popping and you do have the SC 4.2L V-8?

Could the popping be more of a metallic ringing or clanking? That was my first hunch. A noise like that might point to a sloppy U-joint.

don't know about popping . but vibrating/knocking could be broken engine mounts , I've been there too . open the hood and select drive with your foot firmly on the brakes, and watch the engine at the same time as applying some power . also repeat the process in reverse .
if the engine rises a couple of inches during this process then you will need new engine mounts . seems common enough to at least check them any way. mine also leaked blue liquid when they broke .

It sounds like the car thinks that it's a F Type with a supercharged 3.0.
