Default Jaguar STR rim size

HI all,
Did anyone has replace the stock Vulcan rims to 19" or 20" rims?
do STR really have to be in staggered set up?
i found good deals on Jaguar XF Polaris wheels 19"X8.5" (tire size whould be 255 all around)

or 20"rim set up which would be staggered 20"x8.5" and 20"x9.5". anyone uses 20" in STR what would be the tire size, is it gonna be 35 for the front and 30 for the rear? how is the comfort ride? (still need to be comfortable aside from being sleek performance looked)

thanks in advance for the input.. Merry X'mas and Happy New Year.

My vote is NO on all accounts.....Unless you like buying tires for the rear even more so, cause you will spin the tires even more so and break traction more often,....the ride comfort will be worse.....looks would be nice if lowered, but I would not if it was me.....No big pro's to make the change for me

Yes....I might be tossing on a set of 17's for more sidewall's on the rear tire for some nice drag radials....
I seen a lot of issues with going bigger wheels w/ bent rims and less traction.....20's are not too bad in price, 19's tires cost way too much.....and not having a wide rim in the back wont look right after having a staggered profile stock.....

the only pro would be you can rotate tires then if they where all the same.....

Except he has some bling bling wheels on there that look like theyre for a non r. Stay with the 18 in stock offset and width and just up tire size if you want

I don't think his car is an R. I know he's got the 20's ballerific rims on it...

Fyi, for a STR (I have Vulcans on mine).

18x8.5 front 235/40/18
18x9.5 rear 275/35/18

hmmm ..
my recently purchased STR is from Utah... and the past owner had a winter wheels on it.. (icebear w300) with 245/45/18 on all four...
so i m shopping for regular wheels to replace the winter tire whells (which sit on a chrome looking rims... )

so right now i m debating if to purchase a STR wheel set (like Zues or Vulcan) or purchase the 19" which are not in staggered set up (19"x8.5" on all four)
or get 20" in staggered setup

thanks

My bad... I think we confused you with the other guy that's trying to dump the 20's on his new to him S. You just posted in that thread. I'd get Vulcans if I were you.

I would stick w/ 18's man.....price out the cost of the 19" wheels and you shall see the cost difference....
