Hi all! Just thought id introduce myself on the s-type forum as iv just recently sold my 97 X300 3.2 and just been and put a deposit down on a beautiful 2005 s-type 3.0 se in jaguar racing green with just 37k.

I may change the wheels in the future for some slightly bigger but dont really dislike the look of these, i may also add an STR boot spoiler as i think the tidy up the rear lights a bit.

Can anyone tell me whether the cd player in these cars plays MP3's? If not il fit a double din dvd head unit that does.

 

Welcome Speedy...lotsa great guys on here...and if you go that route on the audio sys...get in touch with George, I think he has the double-din mastered. (Androulakis - sp) Never tried an mp3 in the wife's 05...she doesn't have Premium audio..and that may make a difference in your answer - whether your car has the premium sound or not.



No offense intended you nor any of the stellar S-Typers here who have been a world of help to me....S-type a fine automobile....but dude! delete the X300 for it?!? did you get 'hold of some bad booze or sumpin'?


Best of luck with it. Check out the "Common Maint. items" thread and see to those two 8mm xmsn linkage bolts right away - Mine were good-n-tight on both cars but you'd rather snug both 100 times than replace one once. Also run a napkin under the IMT valves on the right-rear of the intake manifold to see if you need the o-ring change...don't worry, it's easy and cheap.

Lol. She was an old girl with a few miles under her belt and would soon have needed a new centre to rear exhaust which was looking to be a bit expensive and as i am now driving more miles than i used to, i need something a bit more 'modern'.
