Ok, I think we (or me) might have got our wires crossed, I'm talking about pre facelift (1999) as that was the model I had a ford key cut for.

All the locksmiths in Phoenix (well the ones I tried) didn't want to know.

 

Quick update ive been to a local Timpson today the lady scanned my key and according to their computer it can be done however there was a problem with there system so she couldn't do it today lol the price was £50 for the key with the transponder but no remote fob she did say they can program their own separate fobs but the 4 button type have to be specially ordered in and the final price for separate fob and key all programmed will be around or just under £140 nipping back next week so fingers crossed all goes to plan
