Welcome to the forum patsee,

I've moved your post from General Tech Help to S-Type forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

Please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some information about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

Welcome to the forum patseee. I've moved your post to the S Type tech section.
Please post an intro in the new members section when you can.

It could, what happens when you try to start it? Does it turn over, do any lights or messages come up in the dash?
What does the PATS light, (the red light on top of the dash)? Does it go out or continue to flash?
