So the question is does anyone know of any LED tail light conversion kits for our S-Types?
Would look amazing with the rings being LEDs

I did a search and came up empty handed.

Perhaps you should consider trading on a nice Honda....

I've thought about it too. There is nothing in the aftermarket out there. Modifying these cars just doesn't have that much popularity like other cars (BMW, Mercedes etc), so no aftermarket manufacturer has made anything for them.

I've contemplated making my own... A few guys have done it on different forums. Most notably with camaros and stuff. You'd have to find the right smd led's used in automotive applications, and have a spare set of tail lights to play with. Basically mount pcb's behind the tail light.

Add an LED bulb in the center and it should work well. I'd do it if I had a cheap set of spare tail lamps to play with.

You could check with QuadConversions (here & here) and see if they would be willing to make you a custom set. The X-type/XK8/XKR tails they got aren't too bad. (I think.) If I recall correctly, there was someone who customized their inner rings also so that both inner & outer sets were clear/chrome with red LEDs. Hope this helps.
