Default Lower Ball Joint replacement

Does anyone know if the ball joint is easily pressed out or is it better to just replace the whole control arm. I see the ball joints online separate from the control arm but Jag says they will only sell the full assembly. Anyone done their own ball joint replacements?

Its avail seperatly from ken at motorcars
and ive pressed them in and out, you have to have a press capable of offset pressing, and the right configuration of tools to do it....its a pia cause if you dont get it right you damage the verticle link and then you get to buy the whole thing anyway. You also have to heat the link to knock out the old one and if your fast you could probobly drop in the new one if you freeze it and heat the verticle link. Thats why its only supplied by jaguar as and assembly, they frown on pressing aluminum suspension components do to scratches can lead to stress cracks and failure
