Default windshield fluid pump

how hard is it to change one out on a 2000 s -type?
do I have to remove the front bumper to do this?

According to JTIS, you have to remove the radiator splash shield (plastic cover between the bottom of the bumper cover and radiator with a bunch of screws holding it in place), remove the hose and electrical connector from the pump, then pull the pump off of the tank. Replace in reverse order. Looks like a very easy job.

Why, is the PUMP inop or not spray from clogged inlet

didn't find any clogs. just stopped spraying. sounds easy enough to change - hope that is it

without the engine running but ingition on..hit the washers and listen by the reservoir. do you hear it running? if not replace the pump or check for signal at the connector, hate to see you replace a pump for a supply fault. and the clog is useally at the inlet of the pump from sediment in the tank. if you hear it run but doesnt work then pull the pump and clean out the inlet with compressed air.

No sound at all. that's what made us think we need to replace the pump. but we will try cleaning everything out first.

No if theres no sound, just verify with a test liight you have power and ground to the pump when you press wash other wise yes replace it..just didnt want to see you throw parts at it needlessly
