major diffrences from 00-and up?
I want to buy a s-type maybe even an x-type and i want to know what are the major diffrence between the older years and the newer ones. (I know some interior changes were made) what exterior changes?
if i can get a cheaper 00 is it worth paying more for the newer ones?
And what modles come with that green tint.

00-02 S-types are the same with the exception of the wheel designs. The 03 up are completly different car. Body looks the same but chassis is different, engine is different. Trans is ZF 6hp26 versus the ford 5r55n. If you can stretch the $$ go for 03 or newer.

i fould out after i purchased my 01 S typr 4.0 v8 these engines had a problem with plastic chain tesniors on the cams , my failed , and trashed to motor it aslo didnt help the engine over heated due to plactic radiator overflow tank developed a stress crack in the plastic tank, since then newer engine have metal chain tesniors, good luck with your purchase

THere is a certain green colour and I cant think what it is called. It is pretty rare. In fact I ahve only seen two. It is not BRG or JRG. Much lighter. Nice colour but very different.
