so I went to the jaguar/land rover dealership today to order the metal clip that holds the headlight bulbs in place and I was told that I could not just replace the clip I would have to buy a whole new headlight assembly is this true? That's absurd!!!

 

Not sure if its long enough but maybe get a heavy duty paperclip and make a new one using the other side. Just know that it will be backwards. Or salvage lot is probably gonna be the only way to get one. Since its an assembly they probably arent gonna sell pieces of it. Actually try pm'ing Brutal he may have some headlight pieces laying around and might be able to sell you just the piece you need. If he doesnt have one which side is it and I'll see what I may be able to do this weekend since I will be behind a headlight looking at it.
