mina 1.5lb Pulley quote to install
Some interesting info...
I bought the Europarts puller and gave it to my Jag-enthusiast indie owner, complete with instructions from Europarts. He charged $300 to fit the Mina 1.5 lb pulley, but was able to remove the original pulley undamaged! I could hardly believe my eyes when he returned it to me.
Indie and I both noticed immediate butt-measureable increase in low-end performance, probably soon to be coupled with immediate reduction in mpg. Great stuff, all due to this forum - Mina intake next!

Thanks, Seth. In fact, I have a qwiketz tube already installed.
Have now done more reading and came across this quote from avos:
Avos is really knowledgeable, but that quote was sometime in 2010. As far as you know, does Mina's new heat shield resolve that problem?

Please forget quickly all the hot air filter systems like Mina is offering, unless of course you are interested in lowering the performance of your engine, and want more heat into the system…

My understanding is that Mina Gallery revised the intake and added a heat shield some time in 2012. The first intake design did not have the heat shield.
Yes Robin, the new Mina intake has a heatshield isolating it from underhood heat. Plus: the cone filter sits where the airbox was and there is a communication of cool air coming in from the area below where the airbox sat. The Mina intake, Qwiketz Tube, and Mina 1.7 lb pulley, provides much improved throttle response and an additional 40+ hp. Now go for: Magnaflow hi-flow cats and Tru-X center muffler, a pair of 16" long resonators, leading to Dynomax VT mufflers. You'll likely have 50+ more hp and a smooth authoritive exhaust note with little cabin noise.
