Default Momentary scare-Restricted Performance

Was leaving work, cold engine, and the engine starting bucking a bit and the "restricted performance" message came up. Pulled over, turned ignition off. Restarted engine, same message, same bucking. Drove 200 feet and the message and the bucking disappeared entirely. Made it home with no issue. Engine purring like a tomcat in a dairy

No MIL, no DTCs.

Interesting.

My plan at this point is to do..... nothing. I don't really have anything to work with here.

Battery is just a couple months old, BTW.

Scanning the system did reveal a climate control fault, though. "cool air servo motor circuit failure". I'll have to research what that means.

Cheers
DD

Many DTCs can only flag if they occur twice (at least) and under similar enough circumstances.

You might have pending ones - you should have either P1111 (good) or P1000 (not so good and find why).

Don't clear codes as then you'll force a P1000 and also prevent many codes being flagged until that becomes P1111.

As it was something that was short-lived it could be something that happens again (such as a flexing part that causes an air leak) or doesn't.
