If everything goes alright, I will soon have IDS SDD V131 and a laptop with Windows XP pro.
Up until now I thought buying the mongoose cable is the easy part (they are on Aliexpress for about AUD$30).
But upon closer examination all those mongoose cables are for version V165.
Will those clone V165 mongoose cables work for my V131 software?
If not, where would I find a clone mongoose cable for V131 without software?

 

doesn’t matter they all use the same drivers. all the recent clones use the real drewtech drivers

 

Thanks. I have now ordered a cable from Aliexpress for AUD$30 incl. GST (=VAT =MWSt). At least the description said, that it also works on Win XP and for the X202 (that's the S-Type). So I'm hoping for the best.

The original cable would be available on https://www.britishdiagnostics.co.uk/ but for $148, which is assume are US$, and this would be 8 times the price of Aliex. - and that I assume would be without postage - i.e. with postage it would be about 10 times as much. This is why I had to try the Aliex. cable first.
