That is actually very retarded. I bet you were getting absolutely horrible gas mileage?? We leased a Exploder a long time ago and never changed the air filter in 40,000 miles of driving, and it was getting 8mpg when we traded it in

I think he just got this car so all that was from the previous owner. At least I think I remember him saying about how he just got this car. May have been someone else though.

Got the car in August of 2009 with 39k it now has 64,600 so I figured i change all that since i doubted anyone else did with the low miles that I bought it with. So I've owned it for roughly about 2 years. I was getting like 220 to the tank if that, about 13 city and 19 highway maybe less, my AVG fuel consumption on the dash was 13.7miles a gallon. Hope it turns out to be a little better now lol. This actually got me thinking how much money I have wasted in it with gas.. aghhh (sighhhh)...

Thats actually not as bad as I thought it would be. I get about 16 around town since I dont drive highway at all since there isn't one for me to use. Thats lead footing quite a bit also with some acceleration runs here and there. I figured you would be alot worse then 13.7. Yea you should of looked into the air filter alot earlier. Take your beating and watch it more regularly. I check my air filter every oil change doesnt mean I change it but I do check it. I also replace my fuel filter every 3 oil changes just to get a new one in there since its cheap and easy to do. Plugs I check at every 20000 miles.

Eh, its still bad lol. Damn every 3 oil changes, so that's ever 15k miles? I don't know I think I'd probably do it every 5 or so. Using premium gas anyway..
