My leather wrapped steering wheel needs help
My 2006 ST-R steering wheel has seriously deteriorated leather on the left side hand grip. Has anyone found a way to replace leather on Jaguar steering wheels? Any shops you could recommend to do the work?
I am in Alexandria, VA and willing to drive to a good east coast source.

A picture of your steering wheel would help, just to be sure we are talking about the same thing.
If you have the same steering wheel as I do (where I had massive wear from the previous owner), I actually removed the last few remnants of the OE surface on the "leather" with sanding paper, and then I applied leather-care spray onto that surface (well knowing that this is actually not leather - it is something artificial). It's not perfect, but better than before.
I did that after initially applying that "leather restorer cream", which can be used to restore leather seats. It's basically some kind of think paint. This works on seats, but it looked horrible on the steering wheel.
