Default My modded STR on dyno vid w/ sound

Here is a video of my car on a heartbreaker Mustang AWD dyno....

It measured same power as an SRT8 Jeep Grand Cherokee w/ full exhaust mods, so estimated crank horsepower is between 420-430.

Mods are 1.5 # Mina Gallery pulley, K&N panel filter, Qwikertx intake elbow, Magnaflow high flow cats, and Magnaflow tru-x resonated X pipes. Enjoy!

Edit - the tech said its also same numbers as BMW 335i's with full bolt on mods and ECU tunes.

Your exhaust sounds just like mine, nice. What were the #'s? Don't be shy

It's a brave man who walks in front of a car on a dyno.

I believe underpressure 03 STR dynoed 337 rwhp? When considering his bolt-ons; 430 chp is realistic.

Does anyone know what the gasses are that shoot out of my exhaust when he lets off the throttle. The A/F ratio was not rich, so I'm a bit confused what that blast out is. Thanks in advance.

P.S., I threw away the dyno sheets so I can't recall the exact numbers but they were lower than expected but I learned what I already knew, dynos are not to measure hp they are to measure tuning. What one dyno reads will be lower/higher than the same dyno at another shop depending on their settings. I just compared it with what they told me other cars dyno'd at at the same numbers. They had just done an SRT8 w/ full exhaust the day before with almost identical numbers. That vehicle is 420 chp out of the box and it had full exhaust so figure 425 or 430 chp (I'm not a big believer exhaust mods ive huge increases in hp). Thats the best I can base to consistent numbers as the dyn itself really said nothing. The shop I went to, HP Logic, are known in Sotuh Florida to be tuning geniuses and they told me they wanted nothing to do with trying to tune the STR's ECU lol....

Those puffs of smoke are from dyno operator bouncing off the rev limiter in 4th when dyno'ing with the J-gate...

yup, it's the rev limiter. It's really easy to bounce off it on the dyno.

Sick ride... that exhaust sounds subtle and I like it.

Never throw any documents away man! Put them in your cars folder

Thanks for clearing up that those gasses shooting out the exhaust are what happens when it hits rev limniter guys. I was confused because I knew my car was not running rich, so I did not think it could possibly be overrun.
