My New S Type R
I don't think its 4 hours of additional time for the grinding. I did the 3 lb. pulley and the grinding took maybe 30 minutes, and about 4 hours for the whole removal and install process and I ran into problems with the pulley installer breaking and not being effective in pulling the old pulley off (had to cut it off completely). If you want it machined perfect, then you must pull the supercharger; if you want it ground so that it will work fine, then it takes about 30 minutes in my experience. That said, I would not do the installation again myself. I would recommend pulling the whole supercharger off and sending it to eurotoys and have them port the supercharger and install the pulley and do the machining if you go with the 3#.
Chris (cbharley) is best to answer this. For now, I'm not turned on by them...sort of look like they'd be uncomfortable to rest foot on and depress. Would need to feel them out. Chris, though the aluminum pedals def. look cool, how do they "feel"?
I think their gain estimates are a bit optimistic, but for chp they are probably close.
If you can pull and install the supercharger yourself, you will save probably 5-6 hours of labor fees. Depending on a shop's rate, that would probably equate to $400-$700. The advantage of the 3# over the 1.5# pulley is not just peak hp, but it gives a better power curve.

Total cost would be about $1500 with 3# (incl. labor). It mentions 55+HP with this config, and my STR comes with 400HP stock. You have this mod listed in your signature but mention 357HP. I believe the 03 STR comes with 390HP stock. Shouldn't you be around at least 450HP with all the mods you've done?

Oh, I was unaware of the whp and chp differences. The car companies/magazines always tell you chp. Thanks for the info :-)
Unlike many other kits I looked at before ultimately I purchased the Mina kit this kit actually bolts very securely to the existing pedals. Many of the other kits i researched have a "bolt on / clamp on system" and IMHO create a safety issue!
There are also other kits that are true bolt on but again our factory pedals are curved if you take a close look at them. Take off the rubber brake pad and you will see it has a slight curve as does the accelerator... If you order these call and talk to Chris and tell him you want the pedals curved to match the factoy setup. Believe me it's a much better fit and a completely natural feel.
To answer the ancillary question, the kit does come with rubber inserts if you are worried about your foot slipping I used them for a while but found no difference with them vs. without them as far as "stickiness" and I like the look without...
In conclusion, if you like the look of the European sports cockpit, these really dress up the interior and are rock solid performers. They do require some drilling into the factory pedals for the bolts and do require a slight level of effort to install, took me about 2 hours to install and another hour or so to prep and ensure my measurements / alignment were correct.
Oh and one last thing, by all means get the full kit with dead pedal! It's definitely worth the extra few bucks it costs and you use it way more than you realize, take a look at your existing floor board today and you will see the wear / dirt ground in at the space where your dead pedal should be...
Stand by pictures coming right up!

Thanks for the kind words Seth!! We sure do have a great group of folks here on the Forum, I am all to happy to a part of it and contribute where and when I can!
BTW - Please ignore those ugly, tattered floor mats. Those are my original factory mats that now serve as my winter mats! ;-)
jagv8, moderator Rick "Joyes' Jag", Quartz, STRracer, cbharley, Jag79, Docuzzie, moderator Abonano, Cat...,and bunch others (you know who you are) are all awesome. If one peeks into the other Jag forums, you'll be left with no choice but agree we have the strongest cement. Moderator, please feel free to move this to a new thread.
