Default Mysterious control valve

Ok, need some help. ,my 2008 S-type 3 litre has some sort of device in line with the air intake, midway between the MAF, and has what appears to be red coolant( Im assuming, doubting trans fluid) seeping from 2 of its fittings. Left a crusty trail beneath it too. Im going to tighten the clamps and see if it helps, but what is this device ? My son said he knew Ford used some liquid cooled air intake valves...what a strange beastie this modern Jag is...

Surely meaning the throttle body ? Being half way between the maf ?and Maybe the engine , and being the only intake device using coolant in the intake track . Bit of guesswork required but seems the only logical component .
