I am a new member here and just purchased my first Jaguar. It is a 2004 S-Type 3.0 and just turned 100k miles. My question is I want to get a lube oil and filter change and wondering if I should go the Synthetic route? I would appreciate any feedback.

Please post an intro in the new members section when you have time.

You'll get many opinions on oil and no real answer, just use what you are comfortable with many people use synthetic and just as many use the dino oil.

 

There is no requirement for synthetic but I use it because it helps me sleep at night. I would be careful on what oil filter you use if you plan on using the 10k interval.

A lot of people on this site would recommend using the jaguar filter.
