Need Help and Input!
I am trying to work on my sons 2000 s-Type and I am finding all sorts of things he needs to do. First would be to take care of it and the second would be to work on it…
I need your help. I took it for a short drive and noticed it is not running sooth and it seems to buck a little. The one thing that has me concerned is that when I took it out for the drive I noticed it did not go into gear (D) I had to put it into (4). After a few blocks I put it into (D) and it drove OK.
First where is the OBD plug? Does this car have a shifting adjustment problem? And last I got the car to look at because of the bucking and idling problem so my son says. I am going to look at the MAFS and clean the Throttle Body and then add 44K. Can you give me any direction?

Just an update! I found the OBD plug, passed by it several times. Read the code and found that the coil for #4 was bad. I had replaced #5 about a year ago. Also found that the shifter adjustment was out. Thanks for your help!
