I understand........so here you go......after a very riotous evening in a manner to which I was 'once' accustomed (some many moons and more than a few 'smart pills) ago I tripped and fell about 10 ish feet off of a deck in the wee hours. Landing flat on my back and cracked several vertebrae in my lower back. After ascertaining that 'no' I wasn't a paraplegic or a 'quad'....I was greeted with 'white light' searing pain, the kind that makes you faint on a double dose of Oxy......the next three weeks and change were spent getting very well acquainted with what my carpet looked like as I crawled to what ever particular corner I needed to to get on with living.

A good friend and surgeon friend of mine came over and gave me a hands on house call exam and explained my two options......go to the local Hospital and spend $20,000.00 a day watching TV and eating fruit or stay where I was and allow him to be a good friend and attend to my medical needs on an every day check your progress kind of way.

I stayed where I was....watched every NetFlix series, HBOGO series, and all the above.

Three and 1/2 weeks later I was (with crutches and great pain) able to walk 15 to 20 feet before passing out from the pain.......and more........and here I am......11 weeks later, up and at 'em' crawling under my STR.......(takes about 5 min. to get up but I get down quick so I guess it all evens out!) checking for oil leaks!

And there you go.....all's well that ends well...

When asked....'what happened to you, we haven't seen you in a looooong time' my reply is...."I've been enjoying learning opportunities and life's lessons that are brought on by very poor decisions"

And there you go.....'Inquiring minds want to know' or 'a curious mind is an awesome burden'

2003 STR 123K miles.......quartz exterior, light grey interior.......no oil leaks!

 

BTW....the 'horse' deal was a 'cover' story for the noisy neighbors.....they don't need to know what I'm up to. I'm the local 'color' as it is.....in a very 'tasteful' way of course.
