New 2003 jaguar S type owner
hello I recently got a 2003 Jaguar S-type and don't have a lot of experience working with cars. I found some engine codes, but I can't find out what part would be making the codes happen. I was hoping that some of y'all could help me. the codes are P0171 System too lean bank 1, P0303 Cylinder 3 misfire, P0307 Cylinder 7 misfire, unknown issue P1316, fuel rail pressure sensor circuit range/performance bank 1 P0191. the car has 132196 miles on it idk when the last fuel filter replacement was. The old owner didn't tell me, but the battery, oil, oil filter, and transmission oil have all been replaced less than 1000 miles ago. If there is any other info I need, please tell me, and I'll do my best to get it. Thank you all for any help.
You can find the correct codes PDF on JagRepair.com - Jaguar Repair Information Resource and it explains such as P1316
The P0171 may be a result of the P0303 & P0307 (and/or the P0191).
For the P0303 / P0306, I'd randomly choose one then swap just that one's coil to see if the fault moves - to decide if the coil is faulty.
Then do the same with the one you didn't choose first time.
You likely need one or two coils. But good ones (probably Denso) but keep the old ones in case the new are rubbish or you've swapped the wrong ones.
