Great info, thanks. I've got to service my transmission soon, so this is a great help.

One quick question on the thermostat. I see you removed the entire thermostat housing from the three hoses, and then separated the housing. Is it possible to separate the housing in place, and thus avoid breaking the three hose connections?

Yes! I wanted to be sure the gasket was seated properly that is why I did it that way.
