New to group need help on phone settings
Hi everyone just brought a 2003 s type v6 2.5 petrol auto and I love it. It was obviously someone’s prime and joy as it’s in mint condition.
Only issue is I can’t seem to get me phone connected! There is a microphone above the drivers side and I understand many early models didn’t have Bluetooth. However I haven’t got a touch screen radio just one with a CD player very basic can someone help please.

Thed bluetooth was not fitted from new until the 05MY cars.
Before that they had fixed wired phones.
That said the separate mic was only fitted when an aftermarket phone was added. The factory fitted mic is inside the overhead consol.
What happens when you press the phone button?
Do you have the phone/voice switches on the steering wheel?
You will need to look in the trunk/boot behind the left hand side cover to see what moduels you have fitted. If you do have a look, try to list the part numbers.
You can fit the jaguar bluetooth without the nav screen.
The one for the s-type is not that good, it is not compatable with some modern phones and you can only pair one phone at a time.
The later 2008 X and XJ unit is far better and is compatable with modern phones and you can pair up to 5 phones.
However they both only work with phone calls. Not music.
