Default New to Jaguar

Hi Folks
I'd like to introduce my self.
49 yr old country Georgia Boy
I'm sort of a car nut,got 7 of them.
Just picked up a 2002 S Type for $500. Good deal ???? To be determined.
The car cam with problems. It runs but loud ticking coming from the head.
I know, I know, but hopefully I wont have too.
The car ran Hot I guess. From the story I got from the owner but not for
long.
The car starts and no smoke.
The radiator, transmission cooler and Condenser have all been replaced.
The car had a lot of damage in that area but no frame damage.
I look like the car was driven off the road and hit a dirt embankment.
all of the parts are on but the coolant fan will not start.
do anyone know where I should start concerning to coolant fant

Look for JTIS on here - it's workshop manual, free download.

Fan is only driven by PCM, using PWM (see below) - do not jumper/bypass without understanding. Start with its fuses, of course.

Handbook also fee download, from Jaguar - see this site's stickies.
