Man, 03 if you live in the Panhandle you are out of the country lol

 

LOL sometimes it feels that way!!!!! But I come in and out of the country all the time because I go to school most of the year round in Virginia. Even when I'm off from school, I'm usually doing some kind of research or an internship with some company. I'm working with the Association for Minority Health Professions and the Environmental Health, Health Services and Toxicology Research Programs right now. LOL it's a mouthful right? Easier stated, AMHPS and EHHSTRP. I'm considering working with the CDC next summer (the company I was originally supposed to work under this summer, but declined due to what I thoguht was schedule conflicts which were later resolved [>:]). They've invited me to speak at a conference next March, so I'm pretty sure I'm a candidate if I still want to work with them.

 

I take it this is the Virginia panhandle not the Texas one. If it is, thats a nice area of the country, good seafood places. The Texas one only has Armadillo's.

 

I was planning on taking the wheels to Orlando. I will take them with me to the meet. Also, I have a Paypal account if you prefer it. Let me know.

 

Whichever works- I can bring cash or money order with me to the meet since i'm going to the banktomorrow. I'd paypal it, but my paypal is jacked up right now (unverified) because I tried to set it up when I was only 15. I couldn't get them to ever lift the hold they had on my bank account so I've just been using my parents'. I'm setting up another bank account in August so I can get verified then, but you need to be paid before then. LOL unless that is, you want to give me the wheels for free! [8D] Makes for a nice grad student present!!!

 

s type you going to be able to make the meet? i was just up there in ATL for about a week got back monday night hella late and just been too busy to post since then

 

Haha yeah I actually tried to make sure I went out of the way to make the meet- LOL even if it is to get the wheels. But oh well, I'm trying to leave to come down next thursday or friday and leaving sunday afternoon.

No not at all- its only a coincidence I'm getting all my work done before I go!!

 

First off I love the ride! i wish i had searched for that color instead of the platinum....ok so i an in need of a front rim, guess i should have looked at this post earlier. also im sure you dont want to break up the set....ive been on a waiting list for a front from www.wheelsandcaps.com for a while...not having much luck anywhere else...i guess i could spend crazy money at the dealer...haha. anyone any other sugestions? front STR Rim sub $400?????

I believe I've seen threads of other users who got their wheels from a few sites if that helps you out. One used wheelcollision.com (he purchased the S Type R Vulcan wheels), and another used wheelsandrims.net for the 03 style. Cost for one wheel at wheelsandrims.net is $279.99 for one, and they are $450 on wheelcollision.com (400 if you have just one wheel that got damaged that needs to be replaced).

No prob, I'd tell you to get one from 03STR- BUT, as it happens, I've already claimed my prize. I think the 03 S Type will look good with STR wheels on it.

 

now i see what you mean about the back being lower. the wheels look great on the car. I was just in orlando this weekend with my str and I think i'll head back up there for the meet. I really wish my ECU was done before the long drives to get better gas milage! lol

 

I am planning on buying a set of the H&R springs and will replace the front springs. That should lower the front end just right.
The custom intake pipe that you made for me looks great and seems tomake the supercharger a little louder along with the increase in HP.

 

awesome. I came up with something else I'll show you also. so I noticed that I was at 254 miles on empty from a full tank and said 38 miles left on the distance... I know I got better gas mileage on the way up to Orlando but on the way back I was following my friends (2 fast mustangs, 2 c6 z06's, 06 viper, couple other cars) so we made it back in good time
what time are you leaving to go up this weekend?

 

I was planning on leaving around 8 or 9 am. Maybe we can meet up with the other SFLA people and caravan to Orlando together.

 

It seems as if everyone travels in packs these days- hopefully you guys don't drive as fast as my old buddies used to! LOL

Yes, if you don't mind. I can be there with cash in hand, and just toss them into my trunk or into my back seat- whatever works best.
