Default Overhaul

Guys,

I have to replace the oil pan seal, it has a slow weeping leak and the A/C compressor also leaking....

Now I have a few weeks off and I am seriously considering replacing:

Coils,
Plugs,
Valve cover seals (both sides)
Inlet manifold seal
Oil pressure sender,
Oil temp sender, and
PCV.

Trans oil and filter will be replaced as well. TB removed and cleaned (very gently and with the right solvent of course).

(All other normal consumables will be changed).

Is there anything else I should consider????

I only want to do as much preventative action as is reasonable and I only want to put the car on stands and get all oily once - albeit for a week or so.

Thanks for the advice / tips / tricks to date...

So far I have replaced DCCV, flushed coolant, repaired CCM, replaced MAF, replaced fuel and air filters, replaced battery, replaced front rotors and installed new pads... Also done a small amount of cosmetic work... New sun visors, carpets, new leaper and some minor body work. Got the car on a hoist today and confirmed all suspension joints OK, front CATS OK, 4 wheels aligned and front wheels balanced. Leaking pan seal confirmed and oil leak in compressor found.

What else is likely to fail????

Must admit the car is fun and exactly what I wanted. I have enjoyed every bashed knuckle and stripped bolt. Only wish I had a hoist...

Cheers,

Your to-do list covers the majority of preventive maintenance actions that eventually need to be addressed on these cars if you keep them long enough. If you haven't already replaced the two Intake Manifold Tuner Valve O-rings with the new-and-improved version, be sure to add that to your list. Very inexpensive and relatively easy to do....

+1 with Jons advise above and I don't know if you need to look at any of these links:

Also beware that the vacuum lines tend to be very brittle and will crack causing leaks when moving them around. I believe you can replace all vacuum lines for around $120.00 (US) from 1 of the many forum sponsors.
