Overheat - Have you ever seen water spraying out this component?
I have a 2001 S type 4.0 and it started overheating last week. this is what I saw after opening the hood. Does anyone know what this component is? why it might be spraying water out of it? any kind of input will be helpful as I do not know much about it. I recorded a video of it. here is the link
also the previous owner said something was wrong with the water resevoir and replaced it i dont know if that helps at all

OK,
after a long battle of moving hoses and various parts out of the way i was able to see that it was a ford bosch part. I think it is a auxiliary water pump. Im assuming it was aftermarket. I know lincoln parts will work in the s-type 4.0 but maybe not the auxiliary water pump? Maybe thats why it didnt work? this would have been the 2nd pump in it if it was a ford part.
advice?
